Ella Barrington

An award-winning business and operations director, Ella carved her career in the ambitious world of motorsport. She gained a Mechanical Engineering at Leeds University, and then returned to Oxfordshire to study for a Masters of Science in Racing Engine Design at Oxford Brookes University. Since graduating, Ella has worked in professional motorsport and engineering in a variety of technical and commercial roles. She founded Corse Concierge, based in nearby Greatworth, in 2016 to bring the fundamental things she learnt in motorsport to add value to businesses in every sector. She has now returned to her local alma mater as an Associate Lecturer within the Oxford Brookes School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics.

An advocate for diversity and inclusion in STEM, she is an active volunteer and speaker. Ella wants to dispel the myth that technical things can only be understood by people who are good at maths. And that engineers don’t “do feelings”.
