Sunrise Multicultural Project & Creating with Care with Miranda Bence-Jones

09:00 - 17:00 Foyer

Banbury has grown to be a vibrant, culturally diverse town. Join The Sunrise Multicultural Project to learn more about the cultures from around the world that have been brought to Banbury by Asian heritage communities.

Local ladies from the The Sunrise Multicultural Project will be sharing aspects of BAME (black and minority ethnic) culture with IWD Banbury.

The "Ladies’ Drop-in", run by Sunrise, aims to provide opportunities for women from black and minority ethnic communities in Banbury to build confidence and skills to support social integration. This project encourages women from the BAME and white British communities to share aspects of their own cultures - something which we hope to further as part of International Women's Day.

Creating with Care is an arts programme which runs across Oxfordshire's Community Hospitals. They are working to enhance wellbeing and to provide stimulating activities and opportunities to engage in the arts for patients, relatives and staff. Explore art by residents from Bicester Community Hospital who have been working with artist Miranda Bence-Jones.

There is no need to register for this session. Simply show up, and enjoy.
