Talks & discussions

Pop-up shops
Long roomHead upstairs for gorgeous gifts and superb services. IWD Banbury and The Mill are proud to host pop-ups from local independent women making and doing amazing things.
Creative crafting & classes

Workshops exploring the power of words
Meeting room 2“It took me quite a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent.”― Madeleine Albright.
Our "Frida" space is dedicated to the power of words - written and spoken. Our choice of words can impact our perception of ourselves, and our impact on the world around us.
Relax & restore
StudioA 90-minute contemporary vinyasa morning practice will held in The Mill's studio space. Funds generated from this class will provide a further guided practice in the afternoon for those in the Banbury community that take time for others, but never make time for themselves.
Art exhibition
FoyerThrough the year The Mill programmes a number of exhibitions, with a particular focus on local artists, and work that links in with our professional programme of live events. During March 2020 you'll be able to take in exhibitions linked to International Women's Day, gender equality and positive progress.
Fringe events
International Women’s Day isn’t just one event belonging to a single organisation. It is a collective celebration and call to action to end inequality. We’re happy to share the following independently organised events.
If you’d like to add your own IWD event to this list let us know.
Curators
International Women's Day Banbury is a not-for-profit project brought to life by Corse Concierge and The Mill Arts Centre.
Both are women-led organisations, active within the Banbury community. Brought together as 2018 recipients of Banbury Women in Business Awards, they began working together in summer 2019 to bring International Women's Day to Banbury in 2020.
Collaborators
International Women's Day Banbury would like to thank the following women and organisations for contributing to our celebrations. Without them, our events would not be possible.
